Xero Time Tracking — Use Teetrack Alongside Xero
Track time in Teetrack, run your books in Xero.
Teetrack does not have a native Xero integration, but you can use both tools in a complementary workflow to connect tracked hours with your cloud accounting.
Requirements
- A Xero account for accounting and invoicing
- A Teetrack account
How to Connect
Step 1: Align contact names between Xero and Teetrack
Use the same client names in both tools so hour totals from Teetrack map directly to Xero contacts when you create invoices.
Step 2: Track billable hours in Teetrack during the work week
Log time as you work, tagging each entry with the correct client, project, and billable status. The timer and manual entry modes both work.
Step 3: Build invoices in Xero using Teetrack hour data
Open your Teetrack timesheet for the billing period and transfer the totals into Xero as invoice line items. Attach the timesheet PDF if clients want detail.
Step 4: Reconcile quarterly
Every quarter, compare Teetrack billable totals with Xero invoiced amounts. Flag any gaps before they roll into the next reporting period.
What you can do
- Feed accurate hours into your accounting: Xero handles invoicing, expenses, and bank reconciliation. Teetrack ensures the hour data going into those invoices is complete and trustworthy.
- Improve client profitability analysis: Combine Xero revenue data with Teetrack time data to see which clients generate the most revenue per hour worked.
- Prepare for payroll or contractor payments: If you pay team members by the hour, Teetrack provides the approved hour totals that feed into Xero payroll or bill payments.
