How to connect

Step 1: Use the hosted Teetrack server

Copy the hosted MCP server address. The server defines 35 tools; your OAuth permissions determine which tools your connection can use.

Step 2: Add an MCP connection in ChatGPT

Add a custom remote MCP server in ChatGPT using this URL. Follow the setup guide linked below for the client configuration.

Step 3: Authorize your Teetrack account

Sign in to Teetrack in your browser and review the requested OAuth permissions. You can revoke the connection later in Teetrack.

Step 4: Verify the connection with a project lookup

Ask ChatGPT to list your Teetrack projects. Then start a timer for an existing project and check the entry in Teetrack.

What you can do

  • Start and stop timers via chat: Tell ChatGPT to start a timer on a specific project and client. Stop it when you are done. No need to open the Teetrack UI.
  • Log time entries with natural language: Say "Log 2 hours on the API migration project yesterday" and ChatGPT creates the entry in Teetrack with the right project, duration, and date.
  • Query reports and summaries: Ask for weekly summaries, project breakdowns, or billable hour totals. ChatGPT fetches the data from Teetrack and formats it for you.
  • Manage projects and clients: Create new projects, update client details, or archive old entries — all through conversational commands in ChatGPT.
