Who builds Teetrack
Teetrack is built and run by Tristan Doehl, a software engineer based in Aachen, Germany. What started as a personal tool for tracking billable hours has grown into a full time-tracking product used by freelancers, consultants, and small teams.
Being a one-person company is a feature, not a limitation: every support request is answered by the person who wrote the code, and every feature ships because a real user needed it—not because a roadmap committee approved it.
Why Teetrack exists
Most time trackers are either too simple to bill from or so bloated they become a second job. Teetrack sits deliberately in between: one-click tracking, projects and clients, billable rates, budgets, and clean PDF timesheets—without surveillance features, screenshot spying, or per-seat upsells at every corner.
Teetrack was also one of the first time trackers with a native MCP server, so AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and GitHub Copilot can start timers, log time, and summarize your week for you.
