This is Teetrack — a time tracker built for one person. What you're looking at is my dashboard on a normal day: a timer already running, a few finished entries from this morning. By the end of this video we'll have done one full loop — track some client work, keep an eye on a budget, and turn it all into a timesheet you can send with an invoice. No spreadsheet in between.
Let's start with a client. I'll call this one Acme — and this is the part that matters: every client carries its own billing setup. Their own rate, their own currency. Acme's in Europe, so they get euros. You set this once, and everything for that client just inherits it.
Now, a project for that client — a website relaunch. I'll switch billing on, set the rate to ninety euros an hour... and here's my favorite part: the budget. This retainer covers twenty hours, so that goes in too. It means I can watch the hours fill up while I work — instead of finding out at invoice time that I went over.
And now the actual time tracking — which is honestly the least dramatic part. Type what you're doing, one click, and the timer's running. That's the whole ceremony. On purpose, by the way: if tracking takes longer than starting the work, you'll quit doing it by Thursday.
When you're done — stop, and it's a finished entry. Now, you'll track the same handful of things every single day, so finished entries can be pinned. Watch: I'll pin this one... and from now on it's one click and the timer's running again. Mornings take about five seconds.
So — where did the week actually go? That's what the Summary is for, because your gut usually answers that question wrong. Every project, hours and billable totals, at a glance. And down here, budget watch: there's the retainer filling up in real time. You see it long before it becomes an awkward conversation with the client.
And then it's billing day. Pick the project, pick the timeframe, export. That's a finished PDF timesheet — every entry, minute-accurate, rates and totals already on it. Attach it to the invoice, done. This used to be the annoying Sunday-evening part of freelancing. Now it's four clicks.
