The Best Rize Alternative With Manual Control and MCP on Lower Tiers

Manual control over every entry, calendar breadth Rize lacks, and MCP without the $49.99/mo Business tier.

Looking for a Rize alternative? Teetrack gives you calendar-based time tracking with a review-before-commit workflow, iCal support, and MCP access without paying for a Business tier.

Migrate from Rize in 45–60 minutes

45–60 minutes

Step 1: Export your Rize data

Download a CSV report or pull time entries via the Rize API covering your last 2–3 billing periods. Rize exports via API and webhooks on Pro+. This CSV is your reference baseline — you won’t import it directly into Teetrack.

Step 2: Set up clients and projects in Teetrack

Create your client list and project names. Map Rize’s auto-categorized projects to Teetrack’s manual project structure. Set billing rates and currencies per project so every new entry inherits the right context.

Step 3: Connect your calendar

Link Google Calendar, Outlook, or iCal. Teetrack pulls events as draft entries. On Pro, configure keyword-based project matching to auto-assign drafts to the right client without touching the keyboard.

Step 4: Run both tools in parallel for one billing period

Track in Teetrack while Rize still runs. Compare weekly totals. Confirm or dismiss calendar drafts daily — once the review habit is set, this takes under 5 minutes.

Step 5: Cut over and cancel Rize

Once your Teetrack totals match your billing expectations for a full period, cancel Rize. Export a final Rize CSV for your records before the account closes.

“Auto-categorized browser activity created billing disputes — deliberate start/stop tracking keeps every entry intentional.”
