Teetrack Now Available in German: Full Internationalization for Our Marketing Pages
Why we added German language support
A significant portion of our user base is located in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Time tracking, invoicing, and project management are workflows where clarity matters. Reading about features and pricing in your native language removes friction and helps you evaluate whether Teetrack is the right fit for your team. German was the most requested language by far, so it was the natural first choice for our internationalization effort.
What has been translated
This is not a partial translation. We have localized every public-facing marketing page on teetrack.it:
- Feature pages: Time Tracker, Time Sheet, Projects, Summary, Summary Highlights, Billing, Invoices, and Clients — each with fully translated descriptions, screenshots context, and call-to-action text.
- Pricing page: Plan names, feature lists, and comparison tables are all available in German.
- Enterprise page: The enterprise offering, feature breakdown, and contact information have been translated.
- Blog posts: Every blog post now has a German counterpart. New posts going forward will be published in both languages simultaneously.
- Navigation and UI elements: Headers, footers, buttons, and the language switcher itself are all localized.
How the language switcher works
You will find a language switcher in the navigation bar of every marketing page. Click it to toggle between English and German. Your selection is reflected immediately in the URL: German pages use a /de/ prefix, while English pages use the default path without a prefix. For example, the English pricing page lives at /pricing and the German version at /de/pricing.
The language switcher preserves your current page context. If you are reading a blog post in English and switch to German, you are taken to the German translation of the same post rather than back to the blog index. This means you can compare translations side by side or share the German URL directly with a colleague.
URL structure and SEO
We chose a path-prefix approach for internationalization. All German pages are nested under the /de/ path segment. This gives each language version its own indexable URL, which is important for search engine optimization. German-speaking users searching for time tracking tools in Google will find Teetrack's German pages directly in their search results.
Each English page and its German counterpart are linked via metadata so search engines understand the relationship between translations. This prevents duplicate content issues and ensures the right version surfaces for the right audience.
Blog posts in both languages
Our blog has been a core part of how we share tips about time tracking, freelancing, project management, and billing. With this update, every existing blog post has been translated into German. The German blog lives at /de/blog and individual posts follow the same slug pattern with German titles.
Going forward, every new blog post will be published in English and German simultaneously. This ensures German-speaking readers always have access to the latest content without delays.
What this means for the Teetrack app
This announcement covers the marketing and informational pages of teetrack.it. The Teetrack application itself — the dashboard, time tracker, project settings, and invoicing screens — is a separate internationalization effort. We are evaluating app-level translations and will share updates as that work progresses.
How to access the German pages
- Use the language switcher: Click the language toggle in the navigation bar on any marketing page.
- Navigate directly: Add
/de/before any page path. For example, teetrack.it/de/features for the German features overview. - Share a link: Copy the German URL from your browser and send it to anyone. No cookies or settings are required — the language is determined entirely by the URL.
FAQ: German language support
Do I need an account to view the German pages? No. All marketing pages, including feature descriptions, pricing, and the blog, are public and accessible in both languages without logging in.
Will more languages be added? German is our first non-English language. We are monitoring demand and will consider additional languages like French, Spanish, and Japanese based on user feedback.
Does the language setting affect the app? No. The language switcher on the marketing pages is independent of your Teetrack application settings. The app language is a separate feature under development.
Can I link to a specific German blog post? Yes. Every German blog post has its own permanent URL under /de/blog/. You can bookmark it or share it directly.
